At the 49th FEBS Congress, held from July 5 to 9, 2025, in Istanbul, a member of our Society — Lucija Brtan (Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb) — was awarded the prestigious FEBS Journal Poster Prize for the best poster.

FEBS Press awards are presented for outstanding posters showcased during the Congress. The best entries are selected by an expert panel of journal editors based on the quality, originality, and clarity of presentation.

In addition, Lucija was also awarded a FEBS Young Scientists’ Forum (YSF) fellowship, enabling her participation at the YSF meeting held from July 2 to 5, 2025, in Sapanca, Turkey — just prior to the main FEBS Congress. As a reminder, the YSF brings together approximately 100 selected PhD students and postdoctoral researchers from FEBS member societies, offering them opportunities to present their research, develop professionally, and build networks across the scientific community.

Lucija’s achievement highlights the excellence and strong scientific potential present within our community.
