The lecture will take place on Monday, 30 March 2026 at 14:00, in the Great Hall at the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, Pierottijeva 6, Zagreb.
Jens Nielsen is one of the leading scientists in the fields of systems biology, metabolic engineering, and synthetic biology. He is a professor at Chalmers University of Technology and holds honorary professorships at the Technical University of Denmark and the University of Copenhagen. He has published more than 900 scientific papers, is the author of more than 50 patents, and has founded several biotechnology companies. As the CEO of the BioInnovation Institute (BII), he promotes technology transfer and the commercialization of research.
