To mark its 50th anniversary, the Croatian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (HDBMB) is launching a series of popular science lectures aimed at the general public. We invite members of the Society to participate as speakers.

The lectures will be held as part of the “Priroda uživo” (Nature Live) lecture series, organized by the Croatian Natural History Society. They will take place at the Bogdan Ogrizović Library, located on Cvjetni trg in Zagreb.

Scheduled dates:

  • 17 December 2026

  • 14 January 2027

The lecture series will continue throughout 2027. Each lecture will last 45 minutes, followed by 15 minutes for questions and discussion with the audience.

How to apply?

Interested members are invited to contact the President of the Society, Professor Morana Dulić, PhD, with a proposed working title for their lecture. Applications are welcome for both the scheduled dates and future sessions.

Lectures outside Zagreb

Ideas and proposals from members based in other cities are particularly welcome. The Society will make every effort to find suitable venues and facilitate lectures outside Zagreb as well.

We encourage you to get involved and help us bring biochemistry and molecular biology closer to the general public!
