The Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) has introduced a new initiative, the FEBS Research Academy, an international academy bringing together leading scientists to promote scientific excellence, innovation and international collaboration in the field of molecular life sciences.

The Academy brings together 100 founding members from 24 countries across Europe and beyond, including 28 Nobel Prize laureates. Its mission is to foster outstanding scientific research, interdisciplinary collaboration, scientific integrity, as well as education, mentorship and the professional development of future generations of researchers.

The FEBS Research Academy will also provide strategic and scientific support for FEBS activities, helping to strengthen the role of science in addressing major societal challenges.

The Academy will be formally presented during the 51st FEBS Congress, taking place from 3 to 7 July 2027 in Riga, Latvia.

We invite members of the Croatian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (HDBMB) and all interested individuals to learn more about this important initiative and explore the publicly available directory of founding members, their research areas and scientific achievements.
