It is with great pleasure that we inform the members and friends of the Society that Dr. Zrinka Kovarik officially received the Israel Pecht Award for 2025 at the ceremonial opening of the 49th FEBS Congress, held from 5th–9th July 2025 in Istanbul.
As a reminder, Dr. Zrinka Kovarik was nominated for this prestigious award by the Croatian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (HDBMB) in recognition of her long-standing dedicated work, exceptional contribution to advancing the Society’s activities, and her role in promoting international collaboration with FEBS.
The Israel Pecht Award, established in 2024 to mark the 60th anniversary of FEBS, recognizes individuals who have significantly advanced the activities of their national FEBS constituent societies and fostered impactful collaboration with FEBS.
HDBMB once again extends its sincere congratulations to Dr. Zrinka Kovarik on this important international recognition, expressing gratitude for her continuous commitment and outstanding contribution to strengthening the reputation of the Croatian biochemical and molecular biology community.
