The call for abstract submissions is now open for the international scientific conference IARC@60: Cancer Research into Action, organized to mark the 60th anniversary of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC).
The conference will take place on 19–21 May 2026 in Lyon, France, and will bring together leading experts in cancer research and prevention, representatives of Ministries of Health, and policymakers from around the world.
The main conference themes include:
discovery and innovation for cancer prevention
translating research into public health action
the science–policy interface for global change
The deadline for abstract submission is 19 January 2026.

Conference partners include The Lancet, the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), and the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF). Ahead of the conference, a special issue of The Lancet eClinicalMedicine will be published featuring selected abstracts, alongside a dedicated Lancet session during the conference.
